Exploring Urban Mobility Trends
A fictional survey of 90 morning commuters compares three ways of getting to work.

60 minmedian bus trip
The longest journeys are by bus
In this invented sample, bus commuters report a median journey of 60 minutes, compared with 30 minutes for cyclists. Metro users report 40 minutes. These groups may travel different distances: the comparison does not establish which mode is faster for the same trip.
What the sample can tell us
These are invented figures for a design exercise, not findings about a real city. Journey time is self-reported and measured one way. Each mode has 30 respondents. The sample is not representative of all commuters.
